Job summary

Talent Stack is engineering a senior Software Engineer IV to build mission-critical software for advanced satellite ground systems. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment on design, testing, and deployment across multi-tier AWS with microservices.

The role emphasizes Java, multi-threaded development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and secure, scalable software in defense-related contracts.

Qualifications

Active U.S. Citizenship and Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics; Masters preferred.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience in Java.
Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Java in production or mission-critical systems.
Experience with Agile development and collaborating in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
Build modular, secure Java applications suitable for mission-critical environments.
Develop multi-threaded software handling concurrency and performance-sensitive workloads.
Create planning and scheduling capabilities coordinating missions, resources, and workflows.
Develop and integrate microservices in AWS and manage CI/CD pipelines.
