Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a Software Engineer Level 3 to design, develop, test, integrate, and maintain Java-based solutions in Linux environments. You will build RESTful services, handle JSON/XML data, and use Maven for builds. Collaboration across engineering teams and participation in code reviews are essential.

The role emphasizes solving complex issues and contributing to modernization while following modern deployment practices. TS SCI clearance is required for this position.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with JAX-RS and RESTful services.
• Experience handling JSON and XML data.
• Maven-based Java project builds and dependency management.
• Experience with Eclipse or similar IDEs.
• Git and GitLab for source control and collaboration.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services in Linux environments.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using JAX-RS.
• Process and exchange JSON and XML data.
