Job summary

Deutsche Bank seeks a Senior Engineer in Cary, NC to design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed microservices and enterprise payment processing applications. The role requires a Master’s degree and 3 years of distributed systems experience with Java/Spring Boot, REST/SOAP APIs, Kafka, and database skills in Oracle and Postgres.

Strong focus on secure API authentication (Spring Security), cloud deployment, CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and testing with JUnit/Mockito.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/CE or related field or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience architecting and building enterprise apps and microservices with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience designing RESTful and SOAP APIs and event-driven systems (Kafka/JMS/MQ).
• Strong DB skills in Oracle, Postgres, and PL/SQL; data modeling and queries.
• Secure coding: OAuth/Spring Security, API authentication/authorization.
• Cloud deployment experience; CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven.
• Testing: JUnit and Mockito; code quality with SonarQube; containerization with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Version control with Git/Bitbucket; scripting on Unix/Linux; Tomcat exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance distributed microservices and payment processing apps.
• Architect enterprise apps and scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop RESTful and SOAP APIs, and event-driven systems for asynchronous communication.
• Optimize DB performance with relational databases; implement secure API auth and SSO.
• Support migration to cloud environments; ensure quality with unit/integration tests and reviews.
