Job summary

Job Description: Job Title: Engineer Location: Cary, NC Overview DB Global Technology, Inc. seeks an Engineer in Cary, NC to apply Agile practices to plan, design, build, test and deliver software for the Payments platform.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent and two (2) years of experience designing and developing end to end customer-facing application components using Java, Spring Boot, React, microservices architecture, monorepo development models, MVC patterns, and responsive UI principles; operating cloud-based, multi-region payments applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including serverless services, IAM, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, and GKE; engineering enterprise CI workflows by updating build/test steps, resolving straightforward pipeline failures, and monitoring routine job health; supporting containerized deployments by updating Docker/Helm/Terraform configurations; implementing application resiliency patterns using Resilience4J; developing scalable, distributed backend systems using Java and the Spring Boot microservices framework to handle high-volume payment processing; building complex, type-safe web interfaces for corporate-facing dashboards, focusing on component-based architecture; deploying and managing applications within the Google Cloud Platform, including GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), CloudRun, and Pub/Sub; designing and maintaining automated deployment workflows using GitHub Actions/Workflows to ensure rapid and stable release cycles; implementing and utilizing monitoring tools including New Relic and GCP-native monitoring (Cloud Monitoring/Logging) to track system health and performance; designing distributed, end-to-end payment workflows using Temporal orchestration platform to coordinate cross-system task execution, enforce dependencies, and reduce manual intervention in multi-region processing flows; and using Selenium and Cucumber to perform test automation and component testing.

Salary range: $104,500.00 - $140,000.00/year. This position is eligible for Deutsche Bank's Employee Referral Incentive Program.
