Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Design and implement robust integrations with third-party APIs.
2. Handle edge cases with care: retries, timeouts, rate limits, malformed data.
3. Collaborate with product and partners to define clear requirements and timelines.
4. Build internal tools and dashboards to monitor and debug integrations.
5. Write clean, well-documented code that is easy for others to extend.
6. Contribute to backend architecture, reviews, and shared service design.
7. Participate in core backend services when needed as part of a cross-functional team.
8. Work closely with the infrastructure team to scale systems reliably.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong experience building backend systems in Java (Spring Boot preferred).
• Experience with robust retry logic, fallback mechanisms, and data transformers.
• Familiar with async patterns and stateless service design, capable of handling parallel calls effectively.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs (REST, gRPC, OAuth, webhooks, etc.).
• Understanding of auth flows, rate limits, pagination quirks, and how to abstract them.
