The position emphasizes knowledge of Java or Python, CI/CD, APIs, and modern frontend and database technologies. In-person interviews may be required, with a pay range reflecting California salaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of programming experience.
• 5+ years with Java or Python preferred.
• 1+ years of AI tools in production preferred.
• 2+ years frontend tech experience (Angular) preferred.
• 2+ years SQL and NoSQL databases experience.
• 1+ years CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub, Docker or Kubernetes.
• APIs with REST/gRPC knowledge.
• Exposure to Guidewire is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code for medium-complexity scenarios with good test coverage.
• Translate requirements into robust designs for scalable, secure applications.
• Assist with application system support needs.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Mentor engineers and foster innovation within Mercury engineering.
