Motion Recruitment is seeking a Software Engineer for a long-term contract in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). You will work with a leading financial services institution on Java/Spring-based microservices, Angular UI, and data-driven solutions, contributing to scalable, secure software and CI/CD pipelines.

The role emphasizes collaboration across development, QA, product, and operations, with a strong focus on agile processes and delivering complex engineering initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
• 8 years Java Engineering experience.
• 6 years Angular UI Engineering experience.
• 3+ years REST or SQL engineering (ideally both).
• Experience with Kubernetes/OCP.
• 8+ years in Java applications using Java/Spring ecosystem and RESTful APIs.
• 6+ years of Angular for UI development.
• 3+ years SQL Server development incl. stored procedures and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact for Software Engineering.
• Review and analyze large-scale software engineering challenges requiring evaluation of multiple factors.
