Job summary

IESF AG seeks a Senior Java Engineer for a long-term Contractor (B2B) / Freelancer role. You will craft backend systems, design core logic, and build scalable services with an emphasis on security and performance.

Required 9+ years of backend experience, Java 8+, Spring stack, and AWS familiarity. Remote work offered, with collaboration across EU and US teams. Leadership and documentation duties included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years of professional backend development experience.
• Proven mastery of Java stack with Spring, Spring Boot, Java EE and Hibernate.
• Strong integration skills with OpenID Connect, SSO, REST and SOAP.
• Hands-on AWS cloud development experience and CI/CD lifecycle knowledge.
• Experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle DB and RDBMS.
• Familiarity with Kafka, ActiveMQ, JMS and messaging APIs.
• Knowledge of procurement and grant management domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop powerful back-end web applications and APIs.
• Design core business logic and high-performance servers/databases.
• Ensure security, reliability, and cross-platform performance.
• Lead projects from concept through delivery.
