Senior Java Engineer (Fintech project)

We are building a full-stack fintech platform for various online businesses, integrating gateway, PSP, ISO, Fraud detection, CB prevention alerts, and acquiring capabilities. Our team handles everything related to Payments, with no handoffs or unnecessary bureaucracy.

This is an early-stage, real product with actual volume, offering architecture that is rarely accessible within large corporations.

We are hiring our first Senior Java Developer (Core Services) to help define how our system operates at scale. This role provides an opportunity to develop foundational code and ship a product that manages real money.

What you’ll do

1. Design and implement core backend services for high-performance, complex distributed systems
2. Utilize modern development practices (TDD/BDD) where possible
3. Own service design and APIs for internal and external integrations
4. Write clear, modern, well-tested code
5. Collaborate across teams in a product-driven environment
6. Conduct code reviews and mentor mid-level engineers
7. Make key technical decisions, build for scale, optimize throughput
8. Document your work clearly for others to build upon

What we expect from you

1. Deep understanding of backend architecture, API design, and scaling
2. Experience with gRPC or API-first design is a plus
3. Proficiency in Java and distributed systems, handling concurrency, retries, and consistency
4. Strong skills with Postgres, data modeling, query optimization, and maintaining consistency under load
5. Highly motivated self-starter who values autonomy and productivity
6. Excellent communication skills, async-friendly, open to challenging ideas
7. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and basic infrastructure tasks
8. Knowledge of payment systems, routing, retries, and subscriptions is a big plus
