Job summary

Interactive Brokers Group in Greenwich, CT is seeking a Java Developer to design, implement, and deliver high-quality software with a strong focus on concurrency and asynchronous programming. You will work under supervision yet own significant development tasks end-to-end and collaborate with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in CS or related field, 4+ years of Java experience, solid knowledge of OOP, data structures, and Linux shell scripting,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or similar (MS/PhD a plus).
• Experience of at least 4 years in software development in Java, Networking at educational and/or professional level.
• In-depth understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Knowledge developing and debugging in Java 8 / 17 or above.
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and deliver high-quality software solutions that conform to architectural standards
• Manage and 'own' significant development tasks end-to-end - from business requirements analysis to 3rd level production support
• Demonstrate excellent collaboration / communication skills in working closely with other development teams to roll-out important changes in fast-paced environment
