FusionAuth Senior Java Engineer is a pivotal role focusing on the cloud platform. You will write secure, high-performance Java, integrate with AWS/Kubernetes, and contribute to architectural decisions while delivering reliable features for a growing CIAM platform.

The role requires deep ops mindset, strong testing, and collaboration across teams. Hybrid Denver office visits 2–3 times weekly, with a comprehensive benefits package and on-site perks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with heavy ops or platform engineering.
• Proficient in Java and OO design.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• Linux platform engineering background.
• Experience architecting topologies on Kubernetes.
• Terraform experience.
• High-availability, high-performance apps.
• Comfort with AI tooling in development workflow.
• Located in Denver metro, able to visit Westminster office 2–3x/week.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality, performant, secure Java code.
• Translate complex concepts into practical solutions.
• Balance near-term deliverables with long-term architecture.
• Write extensive tests and documentation for new features.
• Extend cloud offering with security, scalability, control plane features.
• Maintain and extend FusionAuth Terraform provider.
• Support other engineers with cloud/platform expertise.
• Be voice of positive change in Engineering.
