Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. seeks a senior Java Developer to modernize broker-dealer systems and enterprise platforms. You will build scalable cloud-native apps in Java/Spring, design REST APIs, and lead AI-assisted development to raise productivity across SDLC.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on software engineering, experience with containers, CI/CD, AWS/GCP/PCF, and strong collaboration with architects, product teams, and business stakeholders in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in CS or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering for large-scale enterprise apps.
• Strong hands-on Java and Spring Framework experience.
• Experience with cloud-native apps and high-volume, highly available environments.
• 6+ years containers/microservices in cloud environments.
• 2+ years AWS/GCP/PCF and AI/ML in production.
• Experience with LLMs (GPT/Claude/Gemini/PaLM) and AI-assisted development tools.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and similar AI tools.
• Knowledge of agentic workflows and prompt engineering.
• 2+ years with MongoDB/PostgreSQL/Aerospike and distributed architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale Java/Spring enterprise apps.
• Build cloud-native microservices supporting high-volume systems.
• Develop RESTful services and enterprise APIs.
• Participate in modernization of legacy platforms to distributed architectures.
• Develop and deploy AI/ML solutions in production.
• Utilize Generative AI coding assistants across the SDLC.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Use cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, PCF) and databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Aerospike).
• Collaborate with architects, product teams, and stakeholders in Agile SDLC.
