Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join the AVOD team on a fully remote, six-month contract with potential extension.

The role focuses on mature Java systems, building and modernizing services, and exploring personalization with an agentic development approach.

Strong collaboration in a senior engineering team is required, with preferred overlap to Pacific/US time zones.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineering with production-grade Java.
• Experience building/enhancing services in mature codebases.
• Hands-on agentic development workflows with AI.
• Ability to explain a repeatable agentic workflow from task to code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Java-based AVOD systems within a mature platform.
• Build new services and add features with emphasis on reuse and modernization.
• Balance ongoing platform support with forward-looking development.
• Contribute to personalization projects when appropriate.
• Apply agentic development workflows to produce, review, test, and refine code.
• Collaborate within a small, senior engineering team.
