Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Senior Java Developer with React experience to develop and build high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team working on high-demand applications. Our engineers are passionate about high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future. Cognizant will not sponsor H-1B or other U.S. work visas for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Be ready to work from the client office at least 3 days a week.
• Proficiency in Java 17, with experience in REST API development, backend logic (batch jobs/Kafka processors) using Spring Boot.
• Good to have hands-on experience with React.
• Exposure to non-relational databases like MongoDB.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka is mandatory.
• Proficiency in using and adopting CI/CD DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Urban Code Deploy/Harness, etc.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor.
• Exposure to microservice architectures.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to debug applications and understand core concepts.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Spring Boot Java React microservices developer.
• Hands-on knowledge of Kafka and MongoDB is mandatory.
• Familiarity with Agile, Jira, and Scrum methodologies.
• Basic experience in the banking and financial domain.
• Experience in all project phases: requirement gathering, analysis, design, unit testing, and test support.
