Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Python skills to join our team in Spain in a remote working mode. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Python/Django across the full software lifecycle.

You will work on business-critical platforms, collaborate with architects and product owners, implement secure coding practices, and contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability efforts.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Expertise in Java backend (Java 17+, Spring Boot).
  • Practical Python and Django experience.
  • Experience with REST APIs and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and GitLab.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend services and RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
  • Implement and enhance Python/Django components as part of integrated solutions.
  • Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, and technical planning.
  • Ensure robust database interaction with PostgreSQL/MySQL, including schema design and performance tuning.
  • Write unit and integration tests; perform peer code reviews and ensure code quality.
  • Support CI/CD practices via GitLab pipelines and DevOps workflows; monitor and log observability.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Java Developer (with Python skills) to join our team in Spain in a remote working mode.
