Base pay range

$50.00/hr - $63.32/hr

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with development managers, product owners, SMEs, and other stakeholders to understand software features and provide engineering feedback.
• Write high-quality code and create design artifacts for large-scale, critical production systems.
• Build secure, robust, scalable, and performant components for banking products.
• Estimate development effort and participate in planning activities.
• Utilize Test-Driven Development to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Suggest technical alternatives and designs where applicable.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into product/feature design.
• Write technical specifications and documentation.
• Maintain and optimize existing code.
• Research issues and defects as needed.
• Mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java software development.
• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and passion for innovation.
• Experience with Java-based REST, SOAP APIs.
• Experience working on large-scale, enterprise software.
• Familiarity with J2EE, JavaScript, Angular, HTML.
• Experience with Change Management and Git.
• Experience with SDLC, CI/CD, DevOps.
• Knowledge of Core Banking Platforms is important.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with RPGLE, SQL, Embedded SQL.
• Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry, especially Core Banking.
• Experience with tools like Eclipse, Azure DevOps, Git, and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of OS/400 and Windows 11.

The pay range is an estimate based on current information and may vary. Compensation depends on multiple factors including education, experience, and location.
