Base pay range

$75.00/hr - $85.00/hr

Job Title: Epic Clarity Report Writer (Power BI, Python) – Contract-to-Hire

Location: 100% Remote, EST

Duration: 6-month contract with potential for full-time conversion

Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Epic Clarity Report Writer with expertise in Power BI and intermediate Python programming. The ideal candidate is Epic Clarity certified, preferably with certification or strong experience in the Clarity Revenue Data Model (Professional Billing and Hospital Billing), and can deliver accurate, efficient, and meaningful reporting solutions. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the intent to transition to a full-time role after six months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex reports and dashboards using Epic Clarity and Power BI
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Epic's Clarity database to support reporting needs across departments
  • Translate business requirements into actionable data visualizations and operational reports
  • Use Python (intermediate level) for data preprocessing, automation, or to enhance analytics capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including revenue cycle, finance, clinical operations, and IT
  • Optimize SQL queries and Clarity extracts for performance and accuracy
  • Validate data and ensure consistency across Epic modules and downstream reporting tools
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of data dictionaries and documentation
  • Support ad hoc data requests and participate in ongoing report enhancement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Epic Clarity reporting
  • Proficiency in SQL, particularly within Epic’s Clarity database schema
  • Experience with Power BI: developing dashboards, using DAX, and integrating data from SQL sources
  • Intermediate Python programming skills, especially in data analysis and automation (e.g., pandas, NumPy)
  • Epic Clarity Certification (must have)
  • Strong understanding of Epic Revenue Cycle data models, preferably certified in:
  • Clarity Revenue Data Model (preferred)
  • or Clarity HB / PB Data Models
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a healthcare analytics or healthcare IT setting
  • Familiarity with Epic operational and financial workflows
  • Experience working with BI/data visualization best practices and performance tuning
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or related field
