Job summary

Citi is seeking an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst - AVP in a hybrid role based in Tampa, FL. The candidate will design and deliver enterprise Java/J2EE applications supporting regulatory reporting for risk and finance, while also enhancing front-end components with modern web technologies.

The position requires 5+ years in enterprise Java, hands-on experience with Spark, Kafka, and Hadoop ecosystem, and strong communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development experience in enterprise systems.
• Proficient with Spring, J2EE, and RESTful services.
• Experience with big data tools: Spark, Kafka, Hadoop stack.
• Front-end skills: JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML5, CSS, AJAX.
• Exposure to WebSphere application server and source control tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java/J2EE applications for risk and regulatory reporting.
• Build front-end components using JavaScript frameworks and standard web technologies.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and mentor junior developers.
• Improve processing pipelines for performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with business users to translate requirements into specs.
• Lead testing strategies and support UAT and post-implementation support.
• Provide status updates and participate in agile sprint ceremonies.
