Job summary

Acestack is seeking a seasoned Java Developer to join our Jersey City team onsite. You will design, build, and maintain Java-based applications supporting Equities Trading and Capital Markets operations, delivering scalable trade processing and market data integration.

You will work closely with Front Office, Trading, and Risk teams exploring real-time data, event-driven architectures, and REST/microservice solutions in an Agile environment. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Java development experience in capital markets.
• Strong Core Java, Java 8/11+, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and microservices.
• Experience with Equities Trading, OMS/EMS or Trade Processing.
• Knowledge of trading workflows, trade lifecycle, and settlement processes.
• Experience with real-time market data and event-driven architectures.
• SQL and relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
• REST APIs, Kafka/JMS/RabbitMQ, multithreading, and performance tuning.
• Linux/Unix, Git, CI/CD, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for Equities Trading and Capital Markets operations.
• Build scalable and high-performance solutions for trade processing and order management.
• Develop microservices and REST APIs to support trading and reporting platforms.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Trading, Operations, Risk, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Integrate applications with market data providers, trading platforms, and internal systems.
• Develop and maintain real-time data processing using messaging and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and scalability through monitoring and optimization.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Participate in trade lifecycle enhancement and platform modernization projects.
