Job summary

Schwab Technology Services (STS) is seeking a Sr. Developer to deliver high-quality software for front-office investment management in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will contribute to design, development, and DevOps practices in partnership with SAMS business units.

The role requires hands-on coding, enterprise Java expertise, and experience with Agile teams, cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), and portfolio optimization tools. A strong financial domain background is a plus.

Qualifications

• A university degree from a well-respected academic institution; advanced degrees in Information management, Computer Science, Business Administration and/or other professional certifications are a plus
• At least 4-years of professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java, J2EE, Springboot, SQL Server, JSON, REST
• Recent experience working in Agile teams
• Some experience with cloud/ cloud foundry platform; GCP or AWS will be a plus
• Experience in building services-based software for portfolio optimization using industrial optimization products like Axioma, Gurobi, etc.
• Any experience in the Financial domain with Options strategies and trading will be great plus

Responsibilities

• As a Sr. Developer, you will be responsible for delivering high quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing delivery environment.
• The role entails full Agile and DevOps model in partnership of SAMS business—designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs.
• Lead application components of moderate complexity and provide technical design input in overall project.
• Focus on quality based on Schwab’s standards.
• This role requires a highly motivated, organized and experienced business focused technology individual with a proven record of software delivery to a front office investment management business.
