Job summary

Schwab Technology Services seeks a Sr. Developer to deliver high-quality Java enterprise applications in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will work across Investment Management, Capital Markets and Trading to implement scalable solutions that power Schwab’s client offerings.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to Schwab’s quality standards while leveraging modern cloud and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

University degree from a respected institution; advanced degrees a plus.
At least 4 years of professional Java/J2EE/Springboot/SQL Server/JSON/REST development experience.
Recent experience working in Agile teams.
Some cloud experience; GCP or AWS a plus.
Experience with portfolio optimization tools like Axioma or Gurobi.
Financial domain experience with options and trading is a plus.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality enterprise Java applications aligned with business objectives.
Work in a fast-paced Agile and DevOps environment within SAMS Technology.
Lead components of moderate complexity and contribute to design and architecture.
Collaborate with teams across Investment Management, Capital Markets and Trading.
Ensure software quality and adherence to Schwab standards.
