Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) is seeking a Senior Developer to enhance and maintain the TIERS applications portfolio. You will work hands-on with Java/J2EE stack, Angular, Spring, and cloud-native technologies to deliver scalable enterprise solutions in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with multiple sprint teams, product owners, and stakeholders to implement new features and ensure high availability of critical systems used for Texas eligibility processing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited College or University with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (highly preferred).
• 4+ years hands-on web application development experience.
• Experience with Java/J2EE, HTML5/CSS3, Angular, Spring, EJB/JSF/Struts, Hibernate, JPA, JSON/XML, WebSphere/JBoss, Oracle/PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-friendly technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and support TIERS applications portfolio.
• Collaborate with sprint teams, stakeholders, and cross-agency teams.
• Design, code, test, and document enterprise Java-based applications.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot performance issues.
