Job summary

Pinnacle Technical Resources is hiring a Senior Java Developer for a 12-month contract in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has strong Java, Kafka, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and Azure multi-cloud experience, plus a solid OOAD/UML/TDD background and Agile experience. Security and architectural excellence are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in software development or engineering.
• Proven expertise in Java programming with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience.
• Strong experience with Kafka (3+ years) and MongoDB (2+ years).
• Familiarity with multi-cloud environments, especially Azure, with at least 3+ years of exposure.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration tools.
• Solid understanding of OOAD, UML, TDD, and design patterns.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or XP methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to lead complex technical initiatives.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and document high-quality technical work products such as code, scripts, and processes.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical issues and build reusable components.
• Contribute to system architecture design aligning with best practices and security.
• Design integrated systems for scalable, low-latency delivery across teams.
• Oversee technical debt, drive system improvements, and incorporate security early in the lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and measure team performance.
• Explore emerging technologies and create prototypes for architectural integration.
