Job summary

Collabera is hiring a Senior Application Developer for a 12-month contract in a hybrid, Charlotte-based role. You will design, develop, and optimize enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, and modern UI frameworks, while supporting testing, deployment, and production operations.

You will work in an Agile team, collaborate with stakeholders, and explore PoCs for new technologies and approaches in a Fortune 500 financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Java/J2EE development or a similar role.
• Hands-on container and cloud tech: Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, Azure.
• Strong Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Integration experience.
• Experience with Cassandra, Kafka, MQ, NoSQL, RESTful services.
• Knowledge of WS-Security and secure app development practices.
• Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ, Splunk, Dynatrace, Autosys.
• SQL proficiency with Oracle/SQL Server; Angular and/or React.
• Experience with JUnit, Sonar, and Crucible; Agile development.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and translate into application solutions.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications with Java/J2EE.
• Perform unit testing and ensure quality and reliability.
• Support testing and deployments; troubleshoot issues.
• Create PoCs to evaluate new technologies and approaches.
• Develop apps using cloud and container technologies.
• Develop secure web services and UI using modern frameworks.
• Write complex SQL queries for Oracle/SQL Server databases.
• Develop Unix/Linux scripts for support and automation.
• Collaborate in an Agile team and interact with stakeholders.
• Participate in production support and deployment activities.
