Job summary

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Developer (Vice President level) for Banking Operations in a hybrid role based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Applications Development team leads complex system analysis and programming activities to deliver secure, scalable banking solutions.

You will partner with management to deploy product enhancements, resolve high-impact issues, and align developments with architectural blueprints while coaching junior staff and managing risk and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and deploy new products and process improvements.
• Resolve high impact problems through evaluation of complex business and system processes.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design adheres to architecture blueprint.
• Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
• Provide in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as necessary.
