Job summary

Stefanini in Brazil is seeking a Senior Java backend developer with architectural vision to design and evolve microservices and REST APIs using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3. You will assess risks, drive technical solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure software.

You will work with containers and Kubernetes, implement testing, observability, and documentation, review code, and mentor others.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend development experience, including at least 3 years with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot 3, microservices, REST APIs, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Knowledge of development patterns and principles, such as DDD, Clean Architecture, SOLID, and design patterns.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server) and JPA/Hibernate.
• Knowledge of automated testing with JUnit 5 and Mockito, Docker, Git, and CI/CD.
• Ability to analyze complex scenarios, anticipate risks, assess impacts, and recommend technical solutions grounded in architecture best practices.
• Autonomy, critical thinking, and clear communication to collaborate with technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop synchronous and asynchronous integrations using messaging and event-driven architecture.
• Model data, optimize queries, and ensure quality through automated testing, observability, and development best practices.
• Work with containerization and deployment in Kubernetes environments, in partnership with platform teams.
• Perform code reviews, share knowledge, and provide technical support to less experienced professionals.
