Emergn is seeking a Lead Java Full Stack Developer to design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance Java applications. You will provide technical leadership, ensure alignment with business requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value.

The role focuses on building robust backend services with Spring and Hibernate, integrating REST APIs with modern front-ends (Angular/React), and leveraging AWS/Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes in a results-driven, agile

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java development focused on high-performance applications.
• Strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience with RESTful API development and front-end technologies such as Angular and React.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of observability and New Relic.
• Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, project management and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in designing, coding, testing and deploying Java-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, architecture and delivery timelines.
• Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards and best practices.

This job might be for you if you have:

• 8+ years of experience in Java development focused on high-performance applications, with strong expertise in Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience with RESTful API development and front-end technologies such as Angular and React, with solid Angular experience.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), including AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials, AWS Technical Essentials and AWS Solutions Architect Essentials.
• Knowledge of observability and New Relic, including New Relic Observability Foundations and Observability Practitioner.
• Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience in technical leadership, project management and agile methodologies, with clear communication of technical solutions.
• Claude Code experience and an agentic mindset.

You might also have:

• Experience in microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Advanced knowledge of database management (SQL, NoSQL).
