Job summary

Anthem Engineering, LLC is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems that support mission-critical applications in Maryland. You will collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to deliver reliable services and continuously improve code quality and system design.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of Java backend experience, strong Spring and Hibernate knowledge, and the ability to select lightweight libraries when appropriate.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional backend Java experience.
• Strong proficiency with Java and core JVM concepts.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Practical experience with Spring and evaluation of when to use it.
• Experience with Hibernate ORM.
• Relational databases design; NoSQL is a plus.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable software systems.
• Experience with Git.
