Job summary

SageCor Solutions, serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, seeks an experienced backend engineer. You will develop Java backend systems, build RESTful APIs, and design scalable services using Spring, Hibernate, and modern JVM concepts in a Linux environment.

This role requires TS/SCI w/ Polygraph, 14 years of SWE experience, and a CS degree. You will collaborate across teams in an Agile setting, contribute to code reviews, and advance architectures for high-performance data

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience developing backend systems in Java.
• Strong proficiency with Java and core JVM concepts.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Practical experience with Spring and Spring Boot with the ability to evaluate when it’s appropriate to use.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Relational databases design; NoSQL knowledge a plus.
• Designing scalable, maintainable software systems.
• Experience with Git and Agile development.
