Job summary

Aera Technology is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join its Mountain View headquarters and help shape our enterprise cloud platform. You will collaborate with architects, designers, product managers and developers to deliver high-performance, scalable APIs and software products.

The role requires 8+ years of Java backend experience, expertise in Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes, AWS, Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch and Redis.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Experience with Spring Boot, ORM, microservices and REST APIs.
• Familiar with modern design patterns and clean code.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a strong plus.
• Working knowledge of AWS, Kafka, Spark, Elasticsearch and Redis.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code and automation.
• Use AI-enabled engineering practices to enhance code quality and automate repetitive work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence product direction and requirements.
• Identify opportunities for technical and product innovation to elevate performance.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of modules and end-to-end flows from business perspective.
• Deliver scalable, robust APIs and software products.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering excellence.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs to improve performance and responsiveness.
