Job summary

S2Alliance Inc. is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to support CBP projects. The role focuses on backend development with Java/J2EE, Spring/Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and database technologies.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications, work in an Agile team, and collaborate with architects, analysts, and other stakeholders. Hybrid work option with Ashburn, VA relocation optional for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional Java development experience, including enterprise Java applications.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE and Java 8 or higher.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
• Experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and software development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Develop backend services and applications using Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and web services.
• Develop scalable and reliable solutions for enterprise applications.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established software engineering standards.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, application releases, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders in an Agile development environment.
• Support application enhancements, modernization initiatives, and ongoing maintenance activities.
