Job summary

Talemexa is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade backend services for financial services and HR clients. You will build scalable backend applications with Java and Spring Boot, develop REST APIs, and contribute to microservices architectures.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of Java development experience, strong SQL knowledge, and experience deploying backend applications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Solid SQL skills and relational database experience.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes for containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications and backend services.
• Build scalable microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs for functionality and integrations.
• Write clean, well-documented code following engineering standards.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot defects and production issues; implement fixes.
• Optimize performance, memory usage, and resource consumption.
• Work with relational databases and write efficient SQL queries.
• Support deployment through CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and other developers to meet requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and code reviews to junior developers.
• Follow secure coding practices to ensure reliability and maintainability.
