Job summary

Anaqua is seeking a Senior Java Developer to own core backend services on RightHub, a distributed, domain-driven Java platform on GCP. In this hands-on senior role, you will design domain events, implement service integrations, and set the technical bar for engineers through mentoring and strong testing discipline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of senior-level Java engineering with production ownership.
• Strong Spring Boot in production — transactional boundaries, connection pools, JVM tuning.
• Distributed-systems thinking — async messaging, idempotency, retries, ordering, eventual consistency.
• Domain-driven design and event-sourcing patterns; design domain events capturing state transitions.
• Contract-first API design with OpenAPI; deep PostgreSQL schema design and migrations under load.
• Production experience on Kubernetes with a major public cloud (GCP preferred).
• Strong testing discipline and ability to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Track record of mentoring and raising engineering bar; excellent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Own services end-to-end on the Java platform, from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Design domain events and service integrations across the platform.
• Extend shared libraries for auth, async tasks, and infrastructure.
• Write well-tested code with unit, integration, and contract tests.
• Drive performance, reliability, and capacity planning across distributed flows.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and participate in code reviews and technical design docs.
• Collaborate with frontend teams (Next.js) on features crossing boundaries.
