Job summary

Brooksource is seeking a Senior Back Office Engineer to join our Corporate Solutions team in Louisville, KY. The role focuses on software design, development, and lifecycle management for corporate solutions applications, with cross-team collaboration and vendor interaction.

The candidate will define software objectives, build reusable code foundations, and drive reliability through SLAs, dashboards, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IT or related field.
• 6+ years backend Java with Spring Boot experience.
• 4+ years SQL experience.
• Python for scripting/automation.
• GCP knowledge and containerized workloads in Kubernetes.
• Experience with Git-based source control and Maven.
• CI/CD pipeline experience with Jenkins or similar.

Responsibilities

• Build prototypes and scale solutions to production.
• Identify reusable technical solutions across the org.
• Fix unsecured code areas and enhance security posture.
• Improve end-user experience with application enhancements.
• Create architecture diagrams and security documentation.
• Define SLAs and monitor production reliability.
• Automate infrastructure and testing, including destructive tests.
• Develop dashboards, logging, and alerting for incidents.
• Collaborate with vendors and other engineering teams on APIs.
• Support production applications and monitor SLAs across environments.
