Job summary

Syffer is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications with J2SE/J2EE expertise. You will build RESTful and SOAP services, integrate with relational databases like IBM DB2/Oracle, and handle XML/XSLT data transformations.

Responsibilities include persistence with JPA, Maven-based dependency management, automated testing, and collaboration with Agile teams. You will document implementations in Portuguese and English when required and work with IBM

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise Java applications.
• Strong background in building scalable REST and SOAP web services and DB integrations.
• Experience with Git, Maven, JPA, automated testing and Agile methods.

What You'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications using J2SE/J2EE technologies.
• Build, enhance, and maintain RESTful APIs and SOAP web services for business-critical systems.
• Develop and optimize integrations with relational databases, including IBM DB2 and Oracle where applicable.
• Create and maintain XML and XSL/XSLT-based data transformations and integrations.
• Implement persistence layers using JPA and manage project dependencies with Maven.
• Develop and execute automated unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to solutions within banking environments and document technical implementations in Portuguese and English when required.
• Work with enterprise platforms such as IBM Content Manager, IBM Content Manager OnDemand, Adobe AEM Forms, and Adobe Designer when applicable.

Who You Are:

• Senior Java Developer with 6+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise applications using Java (J2SE/J2EE).
• Strong background in building scalable REST and SOAP web services and integrating relational databases.
• Experienced with modern development practices, including Git, Maven, JPA, automated testing, and Agile methodologies.
• Comfortable working in hybrid environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and communicating effectively in Portuguese, with professional English proficiency.
• Analytical, quality-driven, and committed to delivering robust, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
