Job summary

TechTriad is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer – Java/AWS to join a team building real-time payment processing and cloud-native systems. You will be hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS, delivering scalable distributed architectures and event-driven designs.

You will design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines, Terraform IaC, and automation scripts while mentoring peers and shaping engineering best practices across NYC and NC offices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java software development experience
• Strong Spring / Spring Boot experience
• Expertise in microservices, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven architectures
• Working knowledge of Python
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of scalability, availability, security, and resiliency
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel up to 10% between NYC and NC offices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain highly reliable enterprise applications
• Build cloud-native applications using Java, Spring & Spring Boot
• Develop microservices, APIs, and distributed applications on AWS
• Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
• Work with containerized and serverless AWS services
• Develop Python scripts for automation and data integration
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes
• Implement Terraform / Infrastructure as Code for cloud deployments
• Support observability, monitoring, resiliency, and production troubleshooting
• Participate in architecture, design, code reviews, and technical decisions
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices
