Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java AWS Developer in Portsmouth, NH to build and support scalable cloud-native applications that drive business growth and operational excellence. You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and global teams using modern tech and Agile practices.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying Java/Spring Boot apps on AWS, working with TypeScript, and participating in the full SDLC with production support.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS Lambda.
• Proficiency in TypeScript development.
• Experience using GitHub for source code management and collaboration.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to deliver scalable technical solutions.

About the role

As a Senior Java AWS Developer, you will make an impact by building and supporting scalable, cloud-native applications that enable business growth and operational excellence. You will be a valued member of the engineering team, collaborating with business stakeholders, architects, and global delivery teams to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions using modern technologies and Agile delivery practices.

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, and AWS technologies.
• Deploy, monitor, and support applications across AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Partner with business stakeholders, architects, and offshore development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $64,025 to $94,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
