Qualifications

Overview

Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing backend services for Asset and Wealth Management platforms. The candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and relational databases, with the ability to build enterprise-grade solutions that enhance client value and support digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices on the AWS platform.
• Develop and optimize database solutions using SQL, PL/SQL, and MySQL.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure application security, performance, reliability, and scalability through best engineering practices.

Work model

We support a hybrid work model. This role requires 3 days a week in a client office in New York, NY based on business requirements. We strive to provide flexibility and support a healthy work-life balance through wellbeing programs. The specific working arrangement is subject to project and client needs and will be communicated clearly.

What you need to have to be considered

Proficiency with modern DevOps and development tools including Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, Maven/Gradle, and JIRA, along with leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 and $141,500, depending on experience and other qualifications. This position is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the terms of applicable plans.
