Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Java AWS Architect to design, develop, and lead cloud-native, scalable applications on AWS. You will guide end-to-end architecture using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, while ensuring security, performance, and cost optimization.

The role requires 15+ years IT experience with strong Java/J2EE and 5+ years AWS solution architecture, plus hands-on expertise in modern tooling and frontend frameworks.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with strong expertise in Java/J2EE.
• 5+ years of AWS solution architecture experience.
• Hands-on with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST, Microservices, Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform or CloudFormation, Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.
• SQL and NoSQL databases; monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, Grafana).
• Frontend proficiency with React, Angular or Vue JS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Hands on Java/AWS – develop code and provide support as needed.
• Define end-to-end architecture using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices and AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS and SNS.
• Lead API architecture, integration patterns and microservice design for internal and external customers.
• Drive cloud-native design decisions, infrastructure automation, CI/CD, Terraform, GitLab pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Ensure application security, authentication, authorization, encryption and compliance requirements are implemented.
• Review performance, reliability, observability, monitoring, logging and cost optimization strategies on AWS.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical governance and design approvals with AWS and business stakeholders.
• Design scalable, highly available and resilient solutions that support customer traffic growth and disaster Recovery requirements.
• Own non-functional requirements including scalability, availability, security, maintainability and operational excellence.
• Mentor developers and tech leads on architecture standards, coding practices and cloud adoption.
• Collaborate with customers, product owners, business teams and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
