Job summary

Hyphen Solutions is seeking a senior software architect to lead design, development, and modernization of scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms, while contributing hands-on code and driving standards.

Focus on microservices, CI/CD, DevOps, and AI-enabled development; collaborate with product and engineering teams; mentor engineers and shape technology strategy across AWS/Azure, Spring, and data storage like MySQL.

Responsibilities

Design enterprise Java 21+ architectures and contribute directly to coding
Lead the development of scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications
Create prototypes and reference implementations to validate architecture decisions
Contribute production code for complex features and integrations
Define and enforce architecture and coding standards
Document architectural decisions and system interactions
Lead code and design reviews
Build microservices and distributed systems
Design APIs and integration patterns
Collaborate with product and engineering teams
Troubleshoot complex production issues
Drive CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices
Mentor engineers through hands‑on guidance
Evaluate and adopt new technologies, including AI tools

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Lead the design, development, and modernization of scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. Provide technical leadership across architecture, software development, and system integration while contributing hands‑on code. Drive engineering standards, microservices adoption, cloud strategy, DevOps practices, and AI‑enabled development initiatives to deliver secure, high‑performance, and maintainable solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design enterprise Java 21+ architectures and contribute directly to coding
Lead the development of scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

8+ years of Java development experience, including architectural responsibilities.
Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Security.
Experience with Spring Could is a plus
Expertise with JDBC-based data access
Experience with caching strategies (distributed + local fallback)
Experience with microservices and distributed systems
Strong experience with REST APIs and integrations
Strong MySQL/Aurora SQL skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD tools
Strong understanding of system performance and scalability
