Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Senior Java Application Developer for remote work with on-site as needed in Salt Lake City. You will design, develop, and maintain Java applications and web services, focusing on modern frameworks and secure authentication.

You will collaborate with a team to replace legacy systems and build scalable APIs for public and internal users. The role requires strong Java, JSF, PostgreSQL, and cloud experience, plus excellent

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with Java Core, Java EE (JEE), JPA and JPQL.
• 5 years of experience with JSF/PrimeFaces.
• 10 years of PostgreSQL experience, SQL and plpgsql.
• 5 years of AWS/cloud experience.
• 5 years of RESTful Web Services development.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and web services for DHHS that serve both the public and internal staff.
• Create new applications and support replacement of legacy systems using JSF/PrimeFaces.
• Update existing Java web apps to add features per user requirements.
• Build RESTful APIs backed by PostgreSQL.
• Implement authentication for external users using OAuth2/OpenAM.
