Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design, develop, and support scalable enterprise applications using Core Java, Python, PL/SQL, and microservices. You will collaborate with analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into secure, reliable solutions, participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands-on Core Java application development.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and React.js for development.
• Strong Python for backend services, automation, or API development.
• Advanced PL/SQL with performance tuning and stored procedures.
• Experience building microservices with REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience with Git, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, unit testing, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise apps using Core Java, Python, PL/SQL, and microservices.
• Develop and integrate RESTful and SOAP web services across systems.
• Design and optimize PL/SQL queries and database solutions for performance.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, root-cause analysis, and production support.
• Support CI/CD, version control, testing, docs, deployment, and production release activities.
