Job summary

Clarivate Analytics is seeking a senior software engineer to join our Ann Arbor team. You will develop features across Angular 17 front‑end applications and Java/Spring Boot REST services, while supporting an external-facing Foundation IP product.

The role emphasizes agile collaboration, code quality, and secure coding practices. A hybrid work setup is offered with on‑site days in Ann Arbor, MI and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years hands-on software engineering experience, including Java development.
• 5+ years with Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring REST, JPA and Hibernate.
• 5+ years with SQL Server and relational databases.
• 5+ years with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with Docker and Linux environments.
• Exposure to cloud monitoring platforms and performance tuning.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jira, Git, Maven, Jenkins).

Responsibilities

• Full‑stack development: design and implement features with Angular front‑end and Java/Spring Boot REST services.
• Support and enhance Foundation IP, the external-facing product.
• Handle a mix of new development, client-reported bugs, and maintenance tasks.
• Apply best practices: unit tests, OOP, code reviews, secure coding, OWASP Top 10 awareness.
• Work in small Scrum teams with 2‑week sprints, collaborating across QA, BAs, and Product Owners.
• Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture.
