Quest Defense Systems and Solutions seeks a Lead Embedded Software Verification & Validation Engineer for Digital I&C. You will lead IV&V activities, translate requirements into verification objectives, and guide testing across software, hardware, firmware, and FPGA domains.

Location is Wilmington, NC initially, with relocation to Nampa, ID after six months. Expect ~50% travel; citizenship: US citizen/person; phase-shift to Boise–Nampa region later in the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• 10+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Experience with V&V strategies for complex systems.
• Experience creating test plans, procedures, reports, and traceability.
• Knowledge of safety standards DO-178 and ISO 26262.
• Willingness to travel extensively and support onsite assignments.

Responsabilités

• Lead independent IV&V activities for nuclear digital I&C and embedded control systems.
• Translate requirements into verification objectives and test requirements.
• Perform, witness, and evaluate component, subsystem, and system testing.
• Evaluate test results and evidence to verify requirements.
• Identify anomalies and drive resolution, disposition, and retest.
• Document issues clearly and support investigation and corrective action.
• Manage regression testing after design or configuration changes.
• Support test simulators, automated test equipment, and production test systems.
• Maintain configuration control of test environments and evidence.
• Lead or support Factory Acceptance Testing and technical reviews.
