Job summary

Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is seeking an ITS Technician Manager to oversee maintenance of traffic cameras, signs, detectors, fiber optic networks, and telecom equipment. You will work with technicians, vendors, and staff to troubleshoot issues and implement new technologies across the state.

Applicants will coordinate repairs, monitor performance, and ensure continuous 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience or training in maintenance and/or repair of electronic, electrical, or telecommunications devices, components, networks, or systems.
• Associate’s degree in electrical technology or electronic systems plus two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and repair of ITS devices and infrastructure (cameras, detectors, message signs, fiber optic networks, communication equipment).
• Protect and manage DOTD’s fiber optic network; coordinate with contractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain wireline and wireless communication systems and document systems.
• Coordinate technical support and ITS operations with vendors and staff to ensure 24/7 operations.
