Job summary

Cambium Learning Group is seeking a Senior Item Development Coordinator to support item development managers in project and client management. This role oversees all test development activities and serves as the primary project contact for clients and internal teams.

With guidance from a manager, you will communicate scope and schedule to clients, collaborate with content teams, and help ensure on-time delivery while proactively raising issues and proposing solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field plus 5–8 years’ experience or a Master’s degree plus 1–4 years experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with U.S. Education and Education Assessment is required; client management/interaction experience (2–3 years) is advantageous.
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly communicate with the client about project schedules and deliverables and provide information to inform decision making.
  • Proactively recognize and elevate project issues and provide information and ideas to resolve issues.
  • Assist with solutions to project issues.
  • Collaborate with client and project management on annual development schedule and scope of work.
  • Understand and enforce agreed upon schedule and scope of work.
  • Support item development plan creation for all content areas.

Job Overview:

Senior Item Development Coordinators (SIDCs) work to support Item Development Managers in project and client management. SIDCs receive oversight on a project from a manager or director but are largely responsible for overseeing all test development activities for the project. With assistance from a manager or director, the SIDC is the primary project contact for clients and internal teams. With assistance, the SIDC communicates with the client to ensure scope and schedule are followed throughout the test development process. The SIDC also works with internal teams, especially across content teams, to communicate project scope and schedule.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Regularly communicate with the client about project schedules and deliverables and provide information to the client to inform decision making.

Required travel for this position ranges from 1 week to 8 weeks per year Candidates should be able to travel from 2-5 days at a time.
