The candidate will engage in capacity planning, real-time monitoring, and production change governance while collaborating with global teams. Local onsite presence three days per week is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on VMware vSphere 8 experience.

• Capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of production change management, security, and regulatory compliance.
• ITIL / VMware certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support large-scale VMware environments (400–500 servers).
• Work on VMware vSphere 8 and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9).
• Perform real-time capacity monitoring and health checks.
• Review capacity enhancement requests (RITMs).
• Drive hardware lifecycle management and end-of-life replacements.
• Support VMware migrations, upgrades, patching, and deployments.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity.
• Follow banking change management and governance processes.
• Collaborate with global infrastructure, storage, and networking teams.

Immediate need for a talented Senior IT VMware Systems Engineer. This is a Long-Term Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid).

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support large-scale VMware virtualization environments (400–500 servers).
• Work on VMware vSphere 8 and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9).
• Perform real-time capacity monitoring and infrastructure health checks.
• Review and validate capacity enhancement requests (RITMs).
• Drive hardware lifecycle management and replacement of end-of-life servers.
• Support VMware platform migration, upgrades, patching, and production deployments.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
• Follow banking production change management and governance processes.
• Collaborate with global infrastructure, storage, networking, and application teams.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must-Have Skills: Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere 8.
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9) experience.
• Enterprise VMware infrastructure administration and support.
• Capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of production change management, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with VMware Aria Operations, NSX-T, and vSAN.
• Good to Have: PowerCLI, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Aria Operations, VRLI, and VRNI.
• VMware migration and infrastructure automation.
• ITIL / VMware certifications.
• In-person interview is mandatory.
• Local candidates preferred.
• Must be comfortable working onsite 3 days per week in Jersey City, NJ.
• We are looking for an experienced VMware Systems Engineer / Virtualization SME with strong hands-on experience in VMware vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), and large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Candidates must have strong Banking / Financial Services domain experience with an understanding of production change management, security, regulatory, and governance requirements.
