Job summary

Indiana Wesleyan University is seeking a Senior IT Vendor & Talent Partnerships Consultant (Independent Contractor – 1099 / Contract-to-Hire) to drive external talent and vendor relationships for a major AI-first re-platforming project in IWU Technology.

You will stand up lifecycle processes, manage outside partners (agencies, SI, OEMs), and partner with CIO, EPMO, and finance to keep hiring pipelines full and contracts defensible.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in vendor management, recruiting, or IT program ops with 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience leading IT staffing, agency relationships, and 1099/C2C lifecycle.
• Experience running vendor selection, negotiation, and contract administration (SOWs, rate cards, SLAs).
• Strong commercial acumen; ability to read SOWs and balance spend to outcomes.
• Executive communication experience with dashboards, scorecards, and memos.
• Proficiency with ATS and procurement tooling; keep data current.

Responsibilities

• Guide recruitment strategy and execution for IT contract-to-hire roles across tranches.
• Partner with hiring managers and EPMO on job descriptions, leveling, and compensation bands.
• Run the contractor lifecycle: onboarding, background checks, SOWs, renewals, conversion to W-2.
• Maintain candidate and contractor tracking with audit-ready records.
• Coordinate technology vendor relationships and RFP/RFQ processes with workstreams.
• Negotiate contracts, SOWs, rate structures; ensure SLA adherence and performance.
• Monitor vendor performance and drive corrective action or replacements as needed.
• Stand up and maintain IT vendor master data and preferred-vendor lists.
