Job summary

Carrot is seeking a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to design, scale, and secure the identity, endpoint, and SaaS platforms powering our remote-first workforce.

You will set the technical direction for how employees and devices connect to Carrot systems, while staying hands-on in tooling, automation, and complex problem-solving at scale. In this role, you will lead major initiatives from design through rollout, partner with Information Security on zero-trust and compliance priorities, and raise the bar

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT systems engineering or infrastructure experience.
• Hands-on with identity and access platforms (Okta, SSO, SCIM).
• Experience managing Mac/Windows fleets (JAMF, Intune).
• Strong scripting/automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience designing security controls and zero-trust in collaboration with Security.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own Carrot's identity, endpoint, and SaaS platforms (Okta, JAMF, Intune, Google Workspace).
• Lead design/rollout of large IT initiatives (zero-trust, device compliance, global endpoint standards).
• Build and maintain automation and IaC for provisioning and lifecycle workflows.
• Collaborate with Security to drive vulnerability management and audit readiness (SOC 2, HIPAA).
• Serve as senior escalation point for incident response and RCA.
