Job summary

Upsun is hiring a Senior IT Systems Engineer to shape and improve our identity, device management, and SaaS environment for a fully remote, global team. You will own identity and access, Google Workspace administration, and device management initiatives while driving automation and security controls.

Reporting to IT leadership, you will lead cross-functional projects, document best practices, and mentor teammates. A track record of improving complex systems and strong collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Broad IT engineering experience across identity, collaboration tools, endpoint management, and SaaS administration.
• Depth in at least one core area (Okta, Google Workspace, or JumpCloud) with ability to work across others.
• Experience deploying or improving an MDM/endpoint management platform and turning requirements into configurations.

Responsibilities

• Improve identity and access services with Okta at the core, ensuring secure, consistent access.
• Lead administration and improvement of Google Workspace across users, groups, Gmail, Drive, and security settings.
• Oversee device management rollout and ongoing development with JumpCloud across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Design onboarding, role changes, and offboarding processes using Okta Workflows, n8n, Python, and APIs.
• Identify gaps, propose practical improvements, and drive root-cause analysis to resolution.
• Govern SaaS tools: setup, integrations, access requests, approvals, and access reviews.
• Partner with Security to implement controls and automate evidence collection for ISO 27001 / SOC 2 Type 2.
• Lead projects from scoping to rollout and mentoring, with clear communication of risks and progress.
